especially good with that gray/blue rug...
monday freshness
Isn't California designer Catherine Kwong's living room in this month's House Beautiful really fresh?
As usual, the black and white curtains do me in.
guess what I want...
yeah.
mirrors over the bedside tables. they don't even need to be matching.
I think the key is getting the right scale.

stonington gray
Designer Claudia Benvenuto's home
I thought this room in the recent Elle Decor was great. The walls are painted Stonington Gray (HC-170) from Benjamin Moore, a terrific, light gray. As a matter of fact, the whole house is painted Stonington Gray, in lighter and darker shades.
My magazine is open to this page; I haven't been able to get past it yet.

Isn't that art over the mantel just the thing?
The whole room is, really.
an old favorite for your tuesday
hello, old favorite.
I still love your neutral beauty.
I like looking at you during these hot, dog days of summer.
your paper lantern is so light and airy; and those icy gray silk curtains?
well, yum.
thanks for dropping by on a tuesday, old fave.
I might just survive this summer yet.
your friend, donna
thank you
A big thank you to Robin Houghton for including 'a perfect gray' in her new book Blogging For Creatives. I'm so honored to have been included.
And trust me; this is one great book packed with tips and information on starting and maintaining a blog. I realized quickly that, even as a blogger who has been at it a while, I could use a lot of these valuable tips and insights.
I'll be referring to this book a lot!
Thanks, Robin!

the textures in this room are calling me: raw wood desk, bamboo blinds, rough linen curtains, and the paper-covered pin board. all wonderful elements against the white wall...
hope you have a great weekend!
