What a clever way to display bits and pieces of found treasures. Often older rugs aren't useable for a whole room but this would be the answer for a rug that you loved and could not pass up. Great idea, Kathysue
Hey, maybe this is what I can do with the red kilim rug no longer in my boy's room! I would love nothing more than to rip the carpet off my stairs, what a beautiful and unusual staircase. Janell
Fabulous stairs, reminds me alot of a beautiful country hotel in Somerset (UK) - Charlton House, where we got engaged http://www.luxuryexplorer.com/hotels/charltonhouse/
I love the light and the runer, i always kind of thought oriental rugs were kind of stuffy but they actually are very modern when paired with the right thing!

LOVING that runner! You always find the best!
Is that kilim? Looks like it, I adore kilim and this lovely pattern combination, so sharp, and it sets off the gray beautifully!

Oh yes! A little worn Orientalism on wooden floors or teamed with grey is just what a girl needs! Luv it!

It totally works and is fresh!
LOVE that idea of the runners going up the stairs. Glad to find your blog. I just did a post on Yellow & Grey or Gray.
Beautiful. Love the woodwork in that color.
That runner is so hot, if I lived here I would just laze about on the stairs caressing it! Is that strange?
OMG my room is a deep blue grey and I sooo want a rug like this for beside the bed. I love!
