I love mirrors any where and in an unexpected place like a kitchen even better. I have a mirror sitting in the corner of my kitchen counter with a lamp to brighten a dark corner and the inside of my cupboards are mirrored. I told you I just love a MIRROR!!!! Great post, Have a wonderful MONDAY!
I use mirrors EVERYWHERE, and yes, the kitchen is a great place for them, it can totally glam it up! And I just adore Ryan Korban, he's my favorite designer!
love these photos! i have a mirror in my kitchen...over my cooktop. when my friends ask 'why?" i casually say "so when i'm taping my cooking show, the camera can get a front and center view of the food!" totally kidding of course, but it's fun to pretend! kathi
Just found you via Style. Love these kitchen pictures, but made me realise it is the one room I think I've never seen a mirror. Also loved your piece on oriental rugged stairs. Sharon
I love the idea of a mirror in the kitchen. It somehow glamourizes the space, but I definitely wouldn't want it above the stove...splatters would ruin the look!
Just found your blog and am so excited to comb through it tonight! I've been wanting to find a gray for my bedroom so I'm looking forward to getting some ideas from you.
Love the idea in these homes. But not in my kitchen. I would scare the mirror every time I glanced at it. Do you know what I look like when I am cooking!!!?? Nothing fancy, I can assure you!
..ah, I don't think I am a pretty sight when cooking.. :) .. however love the look and general statement of a mirror in the kitchen. So decadent and eccentric somehow and THAT I love!
My Gift Guides and Retail Therapy posts may contain some affiliate links. This means I may receive a small commission on sales thru this blog. Your cost is NOT affected. I only link to items which I would love to own or do already own. Any commission I earn allows me to keep up the gray goodness...so, thank you for your support! Donna

Well, you have sold me on the idea! Now I want to try this too!
love it too, but i have no wall space in the kitchen. but that HB norris/leslie kitchen is my future kitchen so i will have one.
i'd love to email you a picture of the obscene gaudy mirror above my stove ... you might wanna fight for it
It's one of my favorite looks since seeing that first image in HB. Love it, now to just do it:)
...and good feng shui...if done right!
it definitely adds a nice decorative touch. I don't think I'd want it over my range, though. I'm too messy of a chef!
The two kitchens from house beautiful are totally calling out to me. Love them.
Love it.. I have just cleared a little wall + I'm thinking mirror- thanks for the inspiration and selling me :) xoxo

i think to avoid having to clean up more spatters (see my kitchen window above my sink), i'd have to place a mirror away from any work spaces!
Oh I love these images.
Wonderful collection.
and Inspiration.

Why not do it? I find more mirrors I like then I do artwork anyways!
That Norris/Leslie kitchen with it's huge mirror over the range is wonderful!!!
love the one from house beautiful--it's like a window about the stove. love!

I know, pretty freaking geneous!
That 2nd kitchen is awesome! I would love to have that much space. I move around a lot while I'm cooking. I'm all over the place!
I love the stools in the kitchen by Sally Wheat. Any idea where they are from?
What a fabulous idea.... I love it and I love the antiqued mirrors as well!
