Emily Henderson of HGTV's Secrets From a Stylist used Benjamin Moore's Smoke Embers (No. 1466) in Ian Brennan's living room,

Benjamin Moore's Gray Owl (2137-60) in the guest room,

via HGTV and Emily's blog The Brass Petal

and a charcoal gray grasscloth in Ian's den/office.

Emily is funny, fresh, and terrific at putting together an 'undecorated' looking space.
But all that pales next to the fact that:

her loves some gray!

She is SO good! I haven't seen the show...or design star, really, but I love her blog. That first picture looks like something that would be on the cover of Elle Decor. It is amazing! The colors, the mix of styles is perfect. I need to buy a TiVO.

I loved the show! She is so adorable and talented. The grays were all gorgeous, but my favorite vignette was the fireplace...cuckoo for that dramatic, overscaled, serious portrait above the beautiful, simple petite fireplace!

I love grasscloth. I can remember when grasscloth was in every decorated home. Beautiful. I also love the bookcase arrangement. Lovely post.

She really is quite talented I must admit. I wasn't too sure at first but she got her groove on and definitely was the right choice. I caught the last half of her show and was impressed. I too look forward to more of Miss Emily!!!

Lovely grays. However, I would not want to wake up from a bad dream and smack my head on that chandelier over the bed.

Saw the show (don't have cable at home but was on vacation at a hotel!) and loved it!

The dark gray grasscloth in the den was my favorite gray in the show!

That she redid the living room three times for us - brilliant! I want to see another show from her!
