a new angle...

John Derian's home photographed by William Waldron
Thanks to Emilies Interior for the link

I have been in love with that second photo for a long time but had not seen the first one. I was delighted to see more of that room. What do you think of the pages-covered wall and door?

The first two images are killer. Positively dreamy, in fact. He has an incredible way of displaying beautiful patina and creating the most amazing sense of ambiance. I'm so loving the conversation happening between that fabulous mirror and the petal pink painting. Sigh.

Donna, I love it!! I love that it's different and special and pages from a book make it all the better!! Would love to see this in a powder room.

I love the entry way - I've been contemplating ours for a long time and think that would be dreamy with the marble floor we have planned! I love the texture and colour...

I love the paper covered wall and door! I have been doing some art work like that and it is addicting.

I think I love the pages-covered wall and door! I don't think I could pull it off in my house, but I love the idea for the inside of a bookcase or the inside of a china cabinet! I just might try that....

These images are SO GREAT! I just read a line in Paris to the moon by Adam Gopnik that said "The Concorde at Christmas at 5:00 as many subtly disguished shades of grey as a pair of flannel pants painted by Monet" I so thought of YOU!!!

Hi there! Just stumbled upon your blog, and the first two images really caught my attention. Love the rustic touches, like the mirror and that door definitely makes a statement! The entry way looks really inviting. I am not a big fan of wall paper, but it makes this entryway so warm and cozy, plus it contrasts great with the dark flooring. Great photos for inspiration, thanks for sharing!

Lovely! I like the pages on the wall but I'm not sure how practical it would be...

A woman did that pages-cover on an interiors show I watch, in the bathroom. It came out very dark and suppressive. Here it looks great! I think it works very well, nice and light, but intriguing. And I love the door in the first and second photos.

Love the first two images. The pages on the wall are fun and quirky but would never work for me.

Gorgeous, but you know no 2 is still my favourite. There is something about those twigs and the close crop.
The pages on the wall are great from a styling point of view but not sure I'd like to live with it - not a whole room at least. Perhaps a feature wall. That could work well. Also love the idea of platering a wall in old letters.. Can you imagine the memories..
