Buy some Donna buy some! We use all white dinnerware and it's great around the holidays because then I drag out some cranberry and cream transferware to mix in and it looks so festive. White is a great base and shows off food better.
In the summer, i only use white dinnerware. I mix my favorite Pichon from the South of France with Juliska as over the years, plates and cups have been chipped. At the end, i love the idea and look of mixing the creamware styles as long as they are all in the bone white color.
I love white dishes. Classic white soup plates are visual poetry to my eye. Setting a table with white dishes makes subtle gray linens look like puffs of beautiful gray clouds. Food looks so artistic on a white dish - hot chocolate looks wonderful in a white mug - and chocolate cupcakes displayed on a white platter look nothing short of decadent! I have always used white dishes and will probably always do so!
yes! all white all the time. i pick up pretty vintage white plates and bowls at the thrift stores over the years. this way i can mix-and match different designs and they all go together and make for a personality filled, yet elegant table. the little chips & cracks make it even more precious.
I love having all white dishes as a base - they display beauifully -just like the shots in your post - and mix and match effortlessly. Then I love to add in other dishes depending on the mood or event - transferware, formal porcelain - but the key to keeping it fresh is the white base. It makes it easy to serve large numbers of people too!
Yes white but mix up the patterns/pieces as in the photos. I have spray painted several old vases etc. white recently for a shelving area. Great with the gray wall behind it!
Ditched colored dishes a few years ago, Great resturants use white to show off the food, and you can mix and match all different whites, old and new for texture...do it!!
I have been married for 43 years and I have always had white dishes. You can never go wrong with all white. I like to mix them up with other dishes too!! Just a classic in my book, Loved all of the above images, Kathysue
My Gift Guides and Retail Therapy posts may contain some affiliate links. This means I may receive a small commission on sales thru this blog. Your cost is NOT affected. I only link to items which I would love to own or do already own. Any commission I earn allows me to keep up the gray goodness...so, thank you for your support! Donna

Yep...I ditched color in dishes along time ago...except for the colorful cafe au lait bowls we keep stached in our drawer!

I love that collection of cafe au lait bowls in the first photograph. All white is great for display.
White dinnerware is so elegant and timeless. I always end up coming back to it. Have a great day and please stop by when you can...

Life's too short to go colorless, IMHO. The more, the better. Bring it on!
