antiqued mirrors

Love this image -  the blues, the vintage-looking nude sketch, and especially the aged mirrors. You know that I'm a mirror gal, right? Love antiqued mirrors. The more reflective surface that has fallen away - the better.

Now we're seeing new made-to-look-aged mirrors being used in the kitchen:

Tracery Interiors from their Southern Living Idea House

and in the bath:

Ahhh, that bath...

Do you like these antiqued mirror tiles in the bath and kitchen...?

Yes I actually do love these mirrors. I've thought about trying a DIY process for antiquing some of my own mirrors.

Yes I do remember your 2 really cool flanking mirrors. I remember seeing them on CC Interiors..so beautiful.

oo love it as a backsplash. just divine! Probably would require a lot of windex, though!

I like antiqued mirrors too and have a post planned on the subject. I'm also working on a DIY project for a really cool antiqued mirror I have seen in a few interiors.

The backsplash photo is likely from the Tracery Interiors blog or from Southern Living magazine. It was a showhouse.

LOVE antique mirror! Especially as a backsplash like that kitchen shot. Your blog is lovely, I'm so happy to have just discovered it!

Love the look of antique mirror in a frame not sure about the use in tiles. Maybe it is too much of a reminder of the gold veined tiles of the 80's. Yikes remember those, they were soooo bad. The antique are much nicer, by far.

beautiful, beautiful. I love the idea of a mirror in the kitchen, properly placed to reflect glorious food not the washing up of course! Enjoy your weekend. I might have to hit the op shops in search of a new (old!) mirror. Enjoy your weekend.

I love antique mirrors so much that I've ended up with a house full of mirrors and no artwork, oops! And yes for the tiles in the bath and kitchen!

Ja ja ja for the bathroom! Love that mirrored wall!
Am usually not a mirror-wall-kinda-girl (the 80s killed it..) but this is fab!

Happy weekend!

...When I was a kid, my Mom put those same antiqued mirror squares up in our foyer. So to me, it is so 70's. BUT it does look fresh...particularly in the kitchen!
