Atlanta Homes Magazine
Yesterday, I saw this image on one of my favorite blogs, Greige. It stopped me in my tracks. The bronze/gold colors paired with the warm gray tones -such a fresh and stunning combination to me. Doug Davis of Tracery Interiors, who had personally seen this room in Atlanta's Christmas Showhouse, was kind enough to e-mail me the paint used: Sherwin Williams Amazing Gray.
Babies, could this be THE ONE???
Doug was also kind enough to point me to the room's designer and I hope to highlight some of her work tomorrow. (She's a gray gal, too!)
Thanks so much to Greige for continued inspiration and to Doug for the super fast information. And big thanks to Al Gore for inventing the internet and making all this possible...

haha, Al Gore! This IS quite a nice shade. I'm about to start my gray paint shopping, and your blog has been SO helpful!
Can't wait to see more of these rooms.
How lovely. Just doing my own Ivory post right now. It does make me want to redecorate. Have the best weekend.
Very pretty! It looks like the inside of the shelves are painted a little bit darker, love it! Nice blog!
Ah, the wonders of the internet! Lovely colour.
It's definitely it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love it. The composition/arrangement of he bookcase is perfectly perfect. I can see why your so smitten. Thanks for passing on the 411! I think the Zhush needs to consider this for her ski cabin kitchen, don't you?
xo
Amazing Gray indeed! LOVE! Also, the way this book case is styled is beautiful!
beautiful colors there. Did you know that Greige is the hottest new color for nail polish- its a cross between gray and beige.
Not that nail polish has anything to do with this, but it just got me thinking of that :)
Al Gore is a national treasure.
And that gray rocks!
I have this weird thing that I can't use a color if I don't like the name! I not only love this color, but the name is fantastic. I say buy a sample pot...it may be your color.
thats perfection! totally agree--get yourself a sample pot and get painting!
It is one of my favorite shades of gray.
By George I think you have got it!! Looks pretty perfect to me. I think it is a timeless color that you will not tire of anytime to soon. I say Go for it!!

Al Gore, lol. That is a lovely shade of gray I must admit. I really like the accessories gold/bronze tones as well, never would have thought the two would go together. I love all of the images you gather.
Thanks for the super sweet comment on my blog too.
xoxo - Carrie
It's pretty perfect!
...But then what will you do? If this is the perfect gray? No more searching??
Maybe Al will have an idea for you.
Yes!
A very beautiful gray! Had to smile when I read the last line. So glad other did invent it though - can't imagine life now w/out design blogs.
YES! Can you hear me???!!! YES!!!!! I had my large entertainment center spray painted gray (more of a green/gray) and I love it. We are going much lighter gray with our kitchen cabinets. You go girl! I am not much of a copy cat - but this color choice I migh need to adopt myself!
Cyber hug, Mon
The perfect grey.
