That's incredible! I was talking my early morning walk this weekend and smelled the aroma of a wood burning fire and made me think of how much I enjoy this time of year. You must spend a lot of time by this beautiful fireplace!

Beautiful! I am soooo jealous. Your fireplace is just gorgeous...send some of that coldness down our way. Chilly at night but not quite for a fireplace. That one is going in my someday file! --Gretchen O.

Donna,
I love the beautiful photos of your outdoor space. So inspiring. We have an outdoor fireplace that we have not used since living in our house 2 1/2 years. In Dallas, there are fewer days to enjoy an fire in the fireplace.

That outdoor hearth is the most inviting space I've seen in ages -- what an atmospheric, inviting and unusual image. It fits the coolness in the air perfectly.
Well chosen!

I am SO inspired by these photos. Working with the architect and landscape architect, an outdoor fireplace is on my wish list. I love yours...the ivy, the statuary....I'm sure there will be many more days/nights in that very spot.

Enjoy!! xo Elizabeth

Yup, even here in San Francisco, the weather has suddenly started screaming "Fall"! A fire sounds like a very smart idea.
