Personally I would have to say the frames since I collect them and leave them empty. Love that picture.

Those frames are something special - the level of detail on them is intricate!

Those are beautiful...I really like mirrors with a little patina.

While the frames themselves are extraordinary, the mirror adds that final panache -- that final je ne sais quoi... that final touch. Like the perfect dress which needs the perfect accessory!

Nothing is more beautiful than an antique French mirror. That said, I am also partial to anything French with crystals :-)

those frames, those frames, how much prettier can you get!?!

If the glass had more wear, it would be a toss up, but love the frames, especially the back one with more patina. Janell

I love them both but I'd have to say the FRAMES are what GRAB me! LOVE them! Like heart skip a beat love! ;-) By the way, I'm having a Scentsy give away on my blog, if you have a moment, I'd love for you to pop by!

I think it depends on the mirror and frame... but if they are both old and crusty.... I think I would say the mirror...only because...think about all the faces who have looked into them through all the years?
Great post!

Lovely---both of them. I love old mirrors.

Thank you for your sweet comment. I have been reading your blog for a while now and so my heart did a little flutter when I saw you left me a comment. Love your style.

What's a mirror without a frame? or a frame without a mirror? They go together...

Both, girl, both!!

All the frames lined up like that! Have to start a large, ornate, guilded frame collection now so I can do this (dreaming)!

Can't choose, like both :)
Nice picture.

for me they are equally as fabuous and important, as I adore them both. We've been told that we don't own a mirror you can actually see yourself in!! And I really should take a snapshot of my stack of antique frames that are leaning against the door of a guest room... a collection out of control!!

Hmm, hard to choose, I love them both but the ornateness of the frames is what grabs me first. I use them with or without something in them!
Great blog, I think I have to follow now.
