love the image - so evocative of an era, although it obviously could be now as well. don't know that I could live in this any more but it brings to mind so many associations!

Me too if it means awesome stripped bedding like that!

I was a hippy (briefly) in the late sixties. Sadly, my pad did not resemble this in the least. Can one be jealous retrospectively??

That's funny. I like the idea of layering all the rugs on the floor. Janell

That looks cozy.
I could lounge
there with a book
{or lap-top....hee

music, tea all a
must!!!

I got in right at the end of Hippiness, living in the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles.
I liked it.
I don't remember things looking quite as cushy as this room though :)

This reminds me of my room while I was in high school. I still love this look, but I'm quite a bit neater, now!

What is amazing is how organized it all is. How fun!

I am so laughing, trust me you don't want to be a hippie, that picture has been glamorized! But it does look cozy.

OMG, you would have to give me some major tranquilizer.

I'm laughing too. Would be fun for maybe an evening, like tonight. I'm so bone tired I could relax anywhere. I'm afraid I would wake up feeling like I had a hangover in the morning though.

ci have always had a bit of hippie in me... can a hippie live in white and gray?

Kerry said...

I'd lie down there and stay for quite a while!

Splendid Willow said...

Are you sure??! (: I don't think you would go the whole way (and take it from someone who spent her first 5 years in the US in Santa Cruz - the hippie mecca of the world!).

I think you just want to rough things up a little bit. I am trying to do the same here. To let go a little bit. Be a little spontanious.

Love to you,

Mon

It looks like a pretty relaxing existence. Thanks for the suggestion.

Me too. Am having a rotten day, for no apparent reason.. A little 'flower power' would do me good!

i think you have strung a cord in your orchestra of followers. so much freedom, no judgement, i'm coming along.
maybe hillside might convert to hillside hippie shack.
