with our master bath re-do in full swing, I keep looking at saved images of bathrooms. Ours won't be large enough for it, but isn't a chair in the bath just the thing...?
I so totally agree! For my recent bathroom reno I kept imagining my Chinese Chippendale relacquered in cherry red! I have a set of six which I found in an op shop for $40 and I am saving my pennies to do the restoration on the bargain chairs! I love a chair in the bathroom,so that after a relaxing bath, I can paint my toenails! Lovely!
Oh yes, especially if someone handsome and kindly was sitting in it, making sure my champagne glass was full, and beautifully reading some lovely romantic prose out loud ~ Colette, perhaps?
Yes! I just love the look. I had a round ottoman with no place to put it so it went in the master bath. But I still would like to have a special chair. Mary Ann
Yes, it is. Our tub has steps, so we use those, however, a chair would be prettier. We have a small two-tiered table instead, so that would have to go. I think that it's the wood contrast that looks so nice amongst all that porcelain and tile. k
My next grand bathroom will have a "lounging" space in it. I want a big comfy decorative chair that I can just relax in before or after a long bath. I'm quite the dreamer.
I already know the bathroom is going to be beautiful. Can't wait to see it.
Yes, in our master bath I've managed to place two chairs, one on either side of the door. I love how civilized it feels to place clothes on a chair rather on the floor and to have a place to sit that isn't the side of the tub. Beautiful, beautiful examples!! Janell
It really makes the bathroom into a room, but I already spend way too long in the shower anyway... The last thing I need is to make the room even nicer :) Can't wait to see your finished bath!
This is a GREAT post!! I totally agree with you. It is the small details, like a chair, that make spaces feel cozy rather than stark and barren. Perfect collection of images. Thanks!
I found the perfect bath chair and then we moved and now the layout does not work. I was heartbroken over it. I saw in a mag where they recovered the chair in white terry cloth and so I had one recovered and now it feels so out of place anywhere but the bath. Alas, no room now. Ugh. I hope you find the perfect spot! www.fivestarfinds.blogspot.com

I've always wanted a pretty terry-covered chair in the bath but have never had the space. :)

I too wish I had room in the Master Bath for a chair. These are just gorgeous! xo
yup, just the thing! Can't wait to see your finished bath!

I would knock a wall out to make room for a chair in the bath!
I love this look and can't wait to see the finished space!
Love the functionality of a chair in the bathroom, looks pretty glam too!

I vote yes ... wish mine had enough room!
I've always dreamed of a chaise in my bathroom!
Xo,

Agreed. Love a sweet vintage chair anywhere. They add elegance to a bath, and are great for stacking rolls of clean white towels!
Oh man - now I wish I could be a chair in our bathroom! But like you - it is much too small. :(
I am looking forward to seeing YOUR new bathroom!
The images you picked are stunning.
Happy Tueday my friend. Looks like you had quite a day yesterday! (:

I always have a chair in the bathroom, and I sit to brush my teeth - more thorough that way! so I never have gray teeth...
Ours isn't large enough for a chair either but I love the idea - I obviously use the tub ledge!! That first photo is one of my favorites!!
We have a small stool in ours holding towels but I love the chair in the bath! Happy day to everyone!
lovely photos... I am thinking chinese garden stool in a blue and white pattern.........
Happy Tuesday!
I agree with Janell, to put your clothes on a chair instead of the floor...hopefully one day I will have a bathroom big enough!!! Lovely photo. Robx
I wish I had room for a chair in my bath. Lovely.
Oh the mirrored tub in the last picture makes my heart happy!
And I do love a chair in the bathroom.

Yes, a chair -- and a fireplace -- in a bathroom are signs of true luxury.
I love a chair in the bath. Think I will take out my husbands sink and put a chair in instead. he will just have to adjust :)
A chair in the bathroom would be fabulous although I'd sit down and not move for a long time and then always be late for work :)
