I love reading and commenting on your blogs. I have been so frustrated lately with a Blogger commenting problem that is keeping me from commenting on many blogs. After doing a little digging, I found this recent Blogger notice:
"We're investigating reports of users not being able to comment on IE8/9 from the embedded form. We hope to have a fix out shortly, but in the meantime we encourage admins to switch to either the full-page or pop-up forms which should be working without issue."
Many times lately, I have tried to leave comments on several blogs but have not been able to sign in. It's nothing you have done; it's a Blogger problem. If you are using the embedded comment form, please consider switching to the pop-up comment form to allow for more comments.
(You should see the steam coming out of my ears after I type a lengthy comment to an awesome post, but then I am unable to publish the comment and it's lost...!)
If I am unable to comment, there are surely others out there who are having the same problem. I hope this helps. I really miss being a part of your conversations!

Yes, I changed to the pop out version when Blogger crashed a couple of months ago and since then I´ve had to problem with the comments.
Lovely blog. Have a nice day.

Thats so frustrating! Im trying to figure out a way to stop getting all the "anonymous" comments that are spam. Also wanted to let you know Im back..blogging that is!
I've had the same problem off and on but it seems to fix itself, it's very frustrating. Lately when I want to post a comment I copy and paste since blogger won't let me comment and sometimes it takes all day to get my comment through. Enjoy your day Donna!
The simplest way to fix it is to use Google Chrome as your browser instead of the older Google or whatever browser you use.
I have been so frustrated with this as well! Glad to know others feel the same way - and great tips in the comments on how to fix it! thank you!!

Thank you for sharing this. I thought it was just me & my computer.
Great to know what the problem is! I've encountered it too and have wondered why it's such a sporatic problem. :)
Hi Donna! I hope you are doing fabulous. Thanks for the info. I just switched to the pop-up form and hopefully that will help.
Gosh I miss handwritten letters...
I've been having this issue too. So frustrating. xoxoxoxo
Hi my friend,
There have also been issues between Blogpress and Wordpress which I am on. For a while I could not comment on hardly any Blogpress blogs! I thought I was going to go insane...
See it as our gift from us to you. Less blogging for a little bit. The love is still flowing!

i know how frustrating this can be... and yes, it is our friend at 24.... she needs extra xx right now...
and here is a big X for you dear friend...
Donna,
thanks so much for your help with this!! Sissy
Hi Donna...Pam is such a love, isn't she?! Her post truly blessed me.
I've been having a terrible time with this problem as well. One thing that helped with the signing in issue was to make sure the "stay signed in" box was unchecked (I did that a while ago though), but even with that, sporadic comments have still disappeared into the ether, which *is* very frustrating...it's difficult to write a brilliant comment twice. ;)
I've unchecked my word verification in the hopes of that helping, but will see about the pop-up form as well...we shouldn't have to get so tricky to leave comments.
xoxo J~
thanks for the tip! i've been facing the same problem.
OK...just changed mine...who knew????? Thanks for the tip baby!
It's as if..you read my mind, just literally minutes ago! So glad I stopped by :) Thank you!!!

Oh my goodness! how amazing to open your post in my email and see my letter from Lucille front and center! I have to tell you, I was hoping that you had found more of her correspondence as I would love to learn more of her story :) Below, from my blogpost, are the contents of that letter in case you are interested:

Miss Lucile
Last spring, I found a stack of letters at the Liberty Antique Show. While organizing my craft/guest room, I ran across them again and decided to spend some time reading through them...
They are all posted from May - September 1913 to a Miss Lucile Thomas of Port Norfolk, Virginia. I thought that since I have 6 letters that I would post one a week. I wish that I had posted this first one in May. How wonderful would that have been to be reading a letter exactly 96 years after it was first written? Oh well, I still think that it will be charming.
So, here is her first letter...
Salem, Virginia
May 27, 1913
Dear Lucile,
Your letter came this morning. I think it was time I was hearing from you. I had entirely given up hope of ever getting a line from you. Your picture is fine. I saw R.K. this morning and showed it to him. He said you were awfully pretty. He said he has forgotten your address and that was why he hadn't written to you. I gave it to him but he didn't write it down and I know he'll forget it. He said all of his pictures were had but that he'd send you one.
I am having a cracker-jack of a time. You ought to be here. You know Salem is just full of the best looking boys you ever laid your eyes on while college is going on. I'm going to the Demosthenian Oratorical Contest to-night with one of the students. He brought me home from church Sunday-night. I'm wild about a Mr. Gochenour now. He goes to Roanoke College. His home is in West Virginia. He wanted to come down here last Sunday night and bring his friend, Mr. Perry, with him but I had a previous engagement so couldn't have them. I'm just simply wild about Mr. Perry. I've never met him, though. We are distantly related. I went up to Calloway last Wednesday night to play cards. I had a fine time. If you are coming to Salem this summer you had better come at once before the college closes. It closes about the 14th or 15th of June. We could have such a fine time while the commencement exercises are going on. You know they last a whole week. Our exams begin to-morrow. I'm exempt on everything so I will have a whole week off. I am so glad because I just simply hate to take the old examinations. Aren't you glad your school is out?
I got a card from Frank Hester yesterday. He said he was going to send me some roses today. I hope they get here in time for me to wear some to-night. I had a brand new white china silk dress to wear to-night and now it is simply pouring down rain. Isn't it a shame? I think its horrible. I certainly do hope it will clear up. I must stop now. Write me a long, long letter and tell me all about your love affairs. Tell Francis to write to me. Lots of love.
Affectionately yours,
Leola
post script - "I know you'll excuse writing, scratches and all. If ever I have a picture taken I'll send you one. You can't get the little tin types here. They don't make any small pictures here. Lots of love. Leola"
Isn't this letter great? Can you even believe that this was written in 1913? Girlfriends are so wonderful -Leola sounds like such fun!

Yep, same for me, have to uncheck that stay signed in box. They need to work on that.
Ahh..finally. I thought it was my log-in issue. Hope they fix it soon. I miss commenting and encouraging all the talents out there.
Enjoy your weekend! I'm considering colors for my cabinets as well. Do you have any grays in mind for your cabinets?
Thanks
Maureen
