chelsea gray

I was visiting a friend last night and fell in love with her kitchen wall color - Chelsea Gray by Benjamin Moore. Brooke Shields used Chelsea Gray in her living room featured in Architectural Digest. Geez. I love this color. If your room is large enough and you have good light, I'd say go for it.

And I've always loved Brooke's living room art. Such a sense of humor. I think I'd like her...

Have a wonderful weekend! donna

It's beautifully done! Chelsea gray brings out the bold reds and pristine white very well!

I love the Chelsea gray in these rooms. I tried it in my kitchen, but the lighting was all wrong and it looked terrible. I ended up using it in my powder room and stenciling over it. It really is a beautiful color...in the right room.

Totally agree Donna - I too love these rooms. There is something with mixing this shade of gray with natural materials - raw wood, sisal etc.

Brooke Shields. She is amazing and such an inspiration in so many ways!

Lots of love and big weekend hugs from Sweden!

Funny but it's actually one of the colors we're considering for our living room since it's huge and bright. It's a fabulous color and so is Brooke's home!

I love this color...I must tell you your blog is one that I look forward to reading every day! As a designer of 25 years I am learning even more than I thought I knew about colors from you.

I, agree about Brook Shields. I have met her several times...Her late father had a wonderful sense of wit and a great shoppe in Palm Beach. Where I had one of two design offices. I could always count on him to find me the best accessories.

You are a gem!!! ~maureen

That is a gorgeous room, and the depth of the gray really makes it! Plus the big dose of white on the large scale trim of the windows helps keep it from being too dark. Wish I had that size trim on mine.
Thanks for sharing the lovely photos.

I loved seeing Brooke's fun, quirky, and elegant style! Chelsea Gray seems so authentically gray...no muddiness, no taupe...*maybe* a hint of purple or lavander...but that could just be my eyes...I love it!
Hope you've enjoyed a lovely weekend Donna...

This issue came out as I was deciding between "grays" for our home. And, Chelsea Gray was on the list. But, for some reason it had a brownish cast in my home. Love it in Brooke's and her entire home. Chic yet inviting!

Hope you're having a great week, Donna!

I had a dark gray bedroom for a couple of years...now that my whole house is painted white...I almost feel like I want another go at it! Maybe.....
