change, change is gonna do you good...

Some folks are perfectly good with furnishing a home once and for all. And that's ok...just not for us design/decor-types, right?

Gotta change. Gotta re-do. Gotta re-fresh.
ALL THE TIME.

As I stumble over paint cans and recently moved furniture, I have to wonder how many of us are so afflicted? Is it a blessing? or a curse? After all, the only constant in my house is change; and that
creates a little chaos.

How about you? how often do you need a little (or a lot) of freshness?

I kind of covet the "earlier."

It's definitely a curse. I wish I didn't care.

Like the change you made.

I think it's a curse! I love doing it though. The hubby, not too much.

I just redecorated my childhood bedroom for the 100th time and the interior walls of my house are getting painted at the end of the month. It's a bit chaotic in my world, too... Nothing wrong with that right?? I hope you are doing well!

Hi, I too am constantly changing my home. I drive my friends, neighbors, family and husband crazy. I show my changes and complete insanity on my blog Patty's Epiphanies: http://pattysepihonies.blogspot.com/
I'm adding your blog on my "must check out" list!
My gray is on every wall in our home. It's Sherwin Williams, Silver Strand.
Great blog ...Patty

I seem to have the same affliction. Although once I am "done" this time around I hope to put it on pause for at least 5 years without doing anything major. Love the way his place is looking. Painting it dark definitely made the piece stand out beautifully.

wow, i really love the after, all white look.

i'm always doing something. even if it is just moving pillows, bringing in roses or folding the blankets on the bed differently.

i just like to freshen things up - always, and i'm not even a decorator.

Oh my goodness. I was talking about this with a good friend of mine the other day... I was saying that I have an ADD design brain. That I'm always thinking of the different possibilities and outcomes and how it can change you psychologically and all these other things... lol it was a crazy, intense conversation! I'd say most are born with it and find it and become over the top passionate about finding beauty in everything or creating possibilities and finding what you like or what comforts you.

Much Love,
Trissta

Hey, as decor types, we reserve the right to change our spaces at any time! I like both looks - Grant Gibson is one of my fave designers!

Often change comes to me when I find a new (to me) piece without which I can't live. Then comes making the space for that item and the ensuing rearranging that requires. ;o) ~Sparky

I go into a decline if I have no project under way - preferably a messy one! This week we built a stair to connect our top deck to the jetty so next will be new pots, new cushions, new wicker...

Although not a designer by trade, I sit here with several gallons of paint near as I re paint my family room. I'm ALWAYS changing things up .. doesn't always need to be something NEW, re-arranging is good too :)

Enjoy the start to your week!

I am always rearranging or at least thinking about it. Though I must say, the first image to me was perfection!!

I'm guilty! This week it was my youngest son's room. Just had to move some things around. I, like most of us, rearranged my childhood bedroom on about a quarterly basis. It was kind of funny. Some rooms in my house I have arranged, left and loved. Others, I just keep tweaking!

Must say...I love that bookcase in its new gray coat! Smokin'!!!

I'm trying to get off that train - It's hard though. I love what Steve said - "It's definitely a curse. I wish I didn't care."
The problem is I DO care.
Both images are great. I do like the changes though.
