the little things

the original blue and white paper lining in the drawers of the antique chest
we made into a vanity

a little teak stool I found

a horn dish to hold my soap

I'm really enjoying my new master bath.  It's not a large space but it's just my style. As a matter of fact, I am really beginning to appreciate stylish, smaller spaces more and more.
These are a few of the small things in my small space that I really love.

How wonderful that you kept the original lining paper!

There is definitely an intimacy to a small space that I find very comfortable.

Your marble countertop is really beautiful! Very nicely done.

Show us the whole thing! It looks absolutely lovely! I think small spaces are more cozy, just like a house should be.

Everything looks great. I especially love the sheepskin rug. I have one on my bathroom floor as well.

I have my grandmother's chest in my closet for clothes and it still has the old green and blue floral liner in it. Love those special touches. Your chest looks fantastic as a vanity sink!

That paper in your antique chest/vanity is darling as are the items displayed on top. The sheep skin rug peaking out behind the stool is so cozy looking! Very sweet post and looks like the perfect master bath.

I adore the Italian paper lining of the drawer! I think fro the forties! They lined all the drawers and the boxes they made in that era.....love all those things! Small is gaining momentum...All these gargantuan out of proportion houses.....that no one can make cosy!!

are going out of vogue in many places. YUK!

Lovely bathroom!

Penelope

ps I had a horn soapdish....=and when my soap was wet; it melted the soap dish.......maybe make sure that won't happen! I would hate for it to happen more than once!!

I love the little things in life...and I love the little things in your beautiful master bath. The horn soap holder, that gorgeous marble countertop and the original drawer liner.

Small spaces evoke a feeling of calm and oasis, I think. I hope that this space does that for you.

Beautifully done, Donna!

What a beautiful surprise to open the drawer each time! I love the shaped, marble top. Our master bath is tiny, and that's perfectly fine with us. Cheers, Loi
