We'll create a diversion. You take the rugs and I'll snag the sofa.

Loving this look, especially the top photo. The arrangement and the textures. Gone into my mental file for later. Happy weekend Donna. xx

I am currently obsessing over antique and very worn rugs. Thanks for the inspirations :)

Donna I love this look, a friend of mine has layered her oriental in different directions and angles for years!

I love the look of those rich layers. Layering can also be used to "tone down" a busy rug ... we've had a large oriental rug for years but recently it moved to a different room and the furniture placement was fighting with the very aggressive center medallion and colors, so I layered a sisal rug over the medallion allowing the border of the rug to contribute color / pattern to the room. Anyone have a tip for preventing the top rug from bunching up some times; I've tried a rug-on-rug pad but it actually made things worse.

There is something sort of comforting about a worn rug. Reminds me of my gran's house! xx

Like you Donna I prefer worn too and have them all over my home. But why if they're worn do they cost so much?

i am drawn to this worn look lately too! so cool! Was laughing about Debra's comment from acquired objects...it's like a great pair of vintage looking jeans...I guess we pay for something that looks like it's been weathered for years and years. haha

I'd like to share that I'm also currently having a give away over on vivid hue home. would love for you to stop over and check it out.

Yep to those. And to the wonderful bed linen in the last picture.

Wish you lived closer so we could take our doggies for a walk. Now we have that in common too!

Love to you.

It's a great look. It 'bohemian-ups' a room nicely!

PS - Thanks for your cute welcome back Donna...it's kind of tough 'staying back' though I have to say, all in due time I suppose.
Have a fabulous weekend!!!

Interiors often mimic the trends in fashion. Layering has been a major trend for some time...and it definitely works here. I love layering rugs...its a great way to add another level of texture and dimension to a space!

Older and worn and little holes with peeks of the under rug poking through. I'm a fan for sure.
