nate berkus and bamboo blinds

Nate Berkus Design
Architectural Digest

I'm a good little design girl. I do what Nate Berkus tells me to.
Check out those square windows. See how he elongated them by adding woven blinds under the panels...
Looks great, doesn't it?

I'm taking a page from his book.

My guest room needs blinds like that.

I've already added them in my own bedroom.
Huge difference.

I wonder what Nate will tell me to do next...

Have a great weekend!

Great post as I'm in the market for some bamboo blinds. Love your rooms. Can you recommend any good sources for buying? Thanks!

Yours are stunning with those luxurious drapes.

And add me to the club - mine went up 3 weeks ago.

Great article. I have this exact look (different colors) in my guest room.

Catie, I found great bamboo blinds at Window Blind Outlet. They have cheaper blinds than I have found at other places and they look fantastic.

Can you please tell me if you wall mounted the blinds above the window? If so, how does that work with the bump from the window frame trim? I love this look. Beautiful rooms.

anonymous, yes, the bamboo blinds in my room (and in nate's new condo!) are mounted well above the window, making the windows appear taller. comparing the photos taken in my home, you can see that the blinds were mounted just under the rods. there wasn't a problem with the window trim making the blinds stick out - the blind mounting itself (at the top) allows for the blinds to fall several inches away from the wall, allowing sufficient space away from the window framing.

I hope this helps! feel free to e-mail me if you need further information and I will try to help ...donna

Hello, beautiful room, where are these gorgeous curtains from?? They're so gorgeous and those bed covers they're to die for. Please let me know where you got those 2 items from.
Thankyou so much.

i was going to say - be sure to put the blinds right under the molding instead of at the window, but then i saw you did that in the bedroom! i love both rooms!!!!
