nudes...

I have long been drawn to the human form as art. Maybe that explains why I have three dress forms in my dining room. Either that or I'm just weird. These are a few images of portraits and nudes that I liked. I have five drawings - one portrait and four nudes - by local artists that I look forward to hanging in my bedroom

These images came from my newly fixed laptop. Yes!

Nudes or not, I just love art walls in general. Art & books make a home! I want to see YOUR wall when it is done! xx Mon

Love the boldness and balance of the first photo...supremely artful use of frames, and furniture frames. And that second photo just emanates cool nonchalance...just so beautifully unstudied, charcoals and gilt...yum. Usually I look at the middle of an object but in these photos I'm drawn to their outsides. Thanks, Trish

I love figurative, and nudes in particular. I may have to create a painting or charcoal and have you tell me what you think!

Love these wall galleries. The displays, the colors, the art itself... beautiful. Simply beautiful.

Not weird at all... I have a antique judie from Paris in my livingroom, we just love her
I should look for and frame the drawings of nude art I did in design school...

Thanks for stopping by my blog this morning. I only recently discovered yours too and have been enjoying it.

I also love gray and have been slowly painting my house one room at a time in gray: Benjamin Moore Apparition - #860.

I ooohed and aaahed and "oh my-ed" one after the other. What a gorgeous round-up. I can not resist a beautifully arranged art wall. Whether all precise and perfected or haphazard and eclectic...I love them all.

Can't wait to see your finds!

I love all figurative art! I just copied a Picasso drawing of a mother and baby. Very loose and exaggerated like his paintings. You could try that too. Get some figure drawing books and do some really loose drawings in charcoal. Have you tried the oils yet? I am so desperate to do that painting, or any painting. But I just had some major surgery on my foot yesterday. So the past few weeks have been consumed with getting organized and ready to lie in bed for a week while my family tries to get on without me. Not easy for a control freak. At least I have all my beautiful blogs to read, and pain pills.

Oh, and so not weird that you have three dress forms. I have dress form in my dining room too. I do sew, but the form is really more for my aesthetic pleasure.
