inspiration to reality; my master bath

design red studios

Remember when I posted this image as inspiration for the feel that I wanted in my new master bath? It took me a while to find a french-style piece in the right size and color....

my master bath vanity and side cabinets

...but it finally came together. This is the first time I've had a chance to compare the finish to the inspiration. Gotta say - I'm pretty happy. My cabinet maker built two tall side pieces that are wonderful for storage. I'd highly recommend going this route. My bathroom space is small and it's such a bonus.

I hope to have more photo details up soon...

Your cabinet maker has done a wonderful job. The side pieces actually give the chest more prominence....k

It's beautiful! I like yours better than the inspiration. Just found your blog...and grey is my favorite palette too. My cottage is grey, my wardrobe is grey, and most of my artwork is grey...love grey.

for the cabinets....did you paint them yourself?

A Perfect Gray said...

hello, how2home! thanks so much for your question. I purchased the vintage french chest at an antique show just as you see it. we had a cabinet maker build the tall side cabinets and picked a complimentary gray to go with the chest. The cabinet maker painted the cabinets. Hope that helps! donna
