I love paint brushes...what a story they tell. Not just the paintings they produce, but about the hands that hold them. I remember An Urban Cottage had a pitcher full of tiny brushes when he showed his book cases. He said they were once from a well known painter...I love these photos.
I have a connection to objects that are used or worn by hands over time. They carry a little bit of the souls of the people who touched and used them. I have a pitcher full of old paint brushes I display like an arrangement of flowers. Some of them are worn down to stubs. Love them.
Aren't they so interesting. I try to keep my brushes clean...well you know. You get wrapped up in the painting and then you are exhausted; as long as the bristles are kept soft.
Love this post! My Mom is an artist..I loved looking at all her brushes and paints... and of course cherish the works that she created from using them! :) one of which is on my blog home page... :)

See those fat brushes in the first picture on the left, I have a whole canister full of those. I love the way they look.

How eloquent these brushes are!
Don't you wonder what works of art were created?
