my master bath sconces...?

in my master bathroom

I waited patiently...well, maybe not-so-patiently...for over a year to find just the right sconces for my new master bath cabinetry. New ones just wouldn't do.

Nope. Not for me.

I was very limited because the size had to be just so for the right fit and look. So trust me, it was tough going.

Well, yesterday, while on the way to the grocery store, I made a little side trip and found this pair of  antique bronze sconces in a consignment shop practically in my own back yard. And I had already made TWO trips to Atlanta looking for sconces!

"hold it up there just a little longer, honey...
while I try to decide."

I'm trying one out for size right now but I think these are IT.

I don't think we need any further convincing.
Gray in the den/library is just the thing.
Even better with that awesome navy sofa...

I don't think I'll ever get tired of this one. Super mix.

Gray and orange might just be my fave combination...

rough linen...

I think I'm probably the luckiest gal in the world because I own a beautiful, gray Rough Linen duvet cover and a pair of shams.

 Heaven.

If you haven't yet been introduced to Tricia Rose, creator of Rough Linen, please do visit her site. You will be so glad you did. You'll find she is a delight. And that she started her linen business after finding a vintage linen pillowcase among her grandmother's things.

Seems that I'm not the only one who knows Tricia Rose has a good thing going on at Rough Linen. Tricia Rose has just been selected as a finalist for Martha Stewart's American Made Awards!

And visit Tricia Rose at Rough Linen. I promise. You'll be so glad you did....

my stylish friend's solarium

                                                                   my friend's sun room

We probably all have one. A friend who is uber stylish in dress and decor. My lovely friend, H., is just such a person. She recently opened her home for a local fundraising event and every inch of it was stunning. Here is a snap of her home's detached solarium, right before the guests arrived. I thought it was just perfection. Light and neutral in all the right places. I loved the oriental screens. The turquoise cushions on the vintage wrought iron chairs and the worn oriental rug layered over the jute rug did me in. All very casual, but elegant touches. And all done with a flair.

"It's just random," my friend insists.

No. It's just style.
